ELSA ICE Benelux

A three-day conference in the heart of Brussels, bringing together students, academics, and professionals for an engaging and interactive academic experience.

The ICE Benelux is one of the long-standing traditions within ELSA The Netherlands, reflecting the strong and enduring collaboration between the Benelux countries—Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Organised jointly by the three national groups, this conference represents not only academic excellence but also the unique bond within the region.

Each year, the conference focuses on a contemporary legal topic.

This year’s theme explored Intellectual Property Law & Artificial Intelligence, highlighting the growing impact of emerging technologies on law and society.

The experience of Suzi Teri Saul (Vice-President in charge of Seminars & Conferences):

“Being part of the organising team for such a prestigious conference as the ICE Benelux on IP Law & AI has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. Our efforts began many months earlier, and seeing the conference come together so successfully; while strengthening the bonds between the three national groups and continuing the tradition of the Benelux ICE, was truly special. I feel very fortunate to have organised this event together with two incredible co-organisers, Lena and Vincent, as well as the entire Organising Committee. In the end, it was truly a team collaboration. It was also wonderful to see many participants from around the world joining the conference and engaging with such an important and evolving topic, moments like these truly reflect the international spirit of ELSA. Over these three days, it was inspiring to see the strong interest, engaging discussions, and enthusiasm of participants as we explored how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping intellectual property law and challenging traditional ideas of creativity, ownership, and innovation.”
